The Lutheran Witness welcomes notices 50 words or less from LCMS congre­gations about their upcoming “milestone” anniversaries. The deadline for re­ceipt of such notices is the 10th of the month two months prior to the publi­cation month (e.g., September 10 for the November issue). Send notices to — Ed.


Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, San Rafael, Calif., is celebrating its 60th anniversary October 7. Rev. Dr. Alan Piotter will preach at the 9:30 a.m. service. St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Port Hope, Mich., is celebrating its sesquicentennial on September 16. Rev. Dr. Charles Gieschen, Academic Dean & Professor of Exegetical Theology, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., will preach at the 3:00 p.m. service.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Paola, Kan., is celebrating its 150th anniversary November 4. Rev. Dr. Lane Burgland, former pastor, will preach at the 10:00 a.m. service. Guest preacher for the 2:00 p.m. service will be Rev. Peter Lange, Kansas district president.
